Summary of July 2010:
- Sales & Use Tax Income for the Town and County for June 2010 we were up by 14% as compared to June 2009, and down 9% for the government fiscal year to date in 2009-10 as compared to the government's fiscal year to date in 2008-09 (Note: these figures come from the following Wyoming Department of Revenue webpage: http://revenue.state.wy.us/PortalVBVS/DesktopDefault.aspx?tabindex=3&tabid=10
- Unemployment rate for June 2010 has not been released.
- Visitation at Yellowstone National Park was up by 7.92% for June 2010 as compared to June 2009, and up by 13.52% as compared to June 2008. YNP visitation for January through June 2010 was up 5.28% as compared to June 2009 and up 12.82% as compared to June 2008.
- Visitation at Grand Teton National Park was up 3.51% for June 2010 as compared to June 2009, and down by -.32% as compared to June 2008. GTNP visitation for January through June 2010 was up .63% as compared to June 2009 and down .37% as compared to June 2008.
- Visitation at the Jackson Hole & Greater Yellowstone Visitor Center was up for the first two weeks of June 2010, but visitation numbers for June 15th - 30th were unable to be collected due to technical difficulties.
- Visitor inquiries at the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce were up by .83% for June 2010 as compared to June 2009, and up by 20.78% as compared to June 2008.
- Lodging occupancy rates were up by 11% for June 2010 as compared to June 2009, and down by -14.63% as compared to 2008.
- Real Estate sales were up by 131% (# of sales) and by 34% ($ volume) for the first quarter of 2010 as compared to the first quarter of 2009, and down by 53% as compared to the first quarter of 2008.
- Construction permits for June 2010 were up 43.7% for June 2010 as compared to June 2009 but down 30.3% from June 2008.
- Residential construction total value for June 2010 was up 319% as compared to June 2009 and down by -2.21% as compared to June 2008.
- Commercial construction total value was zero for June 2010.
