Of course, the Jackon Hole Chamber of Commerce could make some pretty strong arguments about why we should be #1. Consider the Jackson Hole & Greater Yellowstone Visitor Center's Junior Ranger Program, the National Museum of Wildlife Art's Young at Art Program, ARTFair Jackson Hole, the Jackson Hole Farmer's Market...let's just say that you should visit first and then decide!

Western Hospitality Award
Congratulations to Charlee Starr of the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar for winning the Western Hospitality Award! Howard Rintel of Jackson, NJ, nominated Ms. Starr for her extraordinary effort to return his misplaced wallet. Mr. Rintel said, "It must be nice to live in a town where people are kind to strangers and honesty overrides greed. I appreciate the substantial effort needed to go the extra mile and find a way to reach us. I cannot fully express my appreciation for Jackson and how much an old 'Yankee Jacksonite' appreciates the Million Dollar Cowboy Bar and Jackson, WY."
Ms. Starr received a winter adventure package with prizes from Teton Springs Lodge & Spa and Grand Targhee Resort, along with tickets for a National Elk Refuge sleigh ride! The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce is proud to be part of a community "where people are kind to strangers and honesty overrides greed." Since Jackson Hole is one of the top vacation destinations in the United States, our community thrives on the business that is brought to the valley in the summer and winter seasons. The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce's Membership Committee created the Western Hospitality Award in order to recognize exceptional Jackson Hole area employees, to increase awareness of the importance of great customer service, and to keep visitors and locals repeating visits by the positive promotion of Jackson Hole.
The Western Hospitality Award is given out each quarter to an employee or a program in the Jackson Hole area that has gone above and beyond their call of duty. For more information, please visit the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce Western Hospitality page: http://members.jacksonholechamber.com/chamber/index.php?option=content&task=view&id=150&Itemid=189.
Make a nomination! Visitors, coworkers, managers, locals, and anyone else who has had a fantastic experience with a Jackson Hole employee should nominate that employee for this award. Has your business received a complimentary letter? Toot your own horn! Simply email an explanation or a copy of the letter to Mary Haworth, Membership Manager, mary@jacksonholechamber.com.
What People are Saying
The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce is always happy to receive compliments from visitors to our area.
On August 31, Linda from the Gulf of Mexico wrote: My husband and I have just returned from a vacation in Jackson Hole and the area of Yellowstone and the Great Tetons. We came in your Visitor Center twice. You have a great center with friendly employees. Mr. Loveless was very helpful and gave great customer service. We had a great vacation and loved the area. God created a beautiful world. We live on the the Gulf of Mexico -- a beautiful 32 mile island Gulf front Resort area.
On August 10, Matt from Florida wrote: My wife and I just returned from a wonderful ten day trip to Jackson and Yellowstone. Words cannot describe the beauty of the area. We live in Florida so we were kind of overwhelmed. Our twenty-fifth anniversary is coming up next year so forget about Hawaii or any place else. We are coming back to Jackson, Yellowstone and of course the Tetons.
