Wyoming Regulations

License: The License MUST be issued in Wyoming. There is no waiting period. Both bride and groom need to be present to sign license. You may get your license in a Wyoming county other than Teton County, but be sure to bring the license with you. The Teton County Courthouse, located at 220 Willow in Jackson, is open 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Monday thru Friday. A marriage license costs $25.00. Write to or call: Teton County Clerk, P.O. Age: To be married in the State of Wyoming, the parties must be 18 years of age or over. If either of the couple is under 18 years of age, but between the ages of 16 and 18, the marriage may be performed with the NOTARIZED consent of a parent or legal guardian, if that parent or guardian does not accompany the couple. If either one of the couple is under 16, the ceremony may be performed only with the court order of a Wyoming District Judge.

A Marriage Ceremony May Be Performed by a District or County Judge, Court Commissioner, Justice of the Peace, or by any licensed or ordained minister of the gospel.
