12 Days of Jackson Hole Christmas: For the Fashionista

So much of what people love about Jackson Hole is that it’s still part of the “Old West.” You can wear flannel-lined Carhart pants out to dinner and no one will look twice. We are a unique mountain town though, as anyone who’s ever been here would agree. You can also dress to the nines if you’re in the mood and fit right in.

So do not fear, Jackson has a plethora of shops that are perfect for the woman who prefers heels to hiking boots…

A favorite across the board is jewelry. Located on Town Square, Hines Goldsmiths is known for their Teton Collection of pendants and bracelets that feature the silhouette of the Tetons. A classic for Jackson locals is the Teton bracelets from Pearls By Shari that mix leather, silver, and you guessed it, pearls. Don't forget about the gorgeous stackable Teton rings from Jackson Hole Jewelry Co.! For the woman who prefers her jewelry to be works of art you must visit the Tayloe Piggott Gallery. It’s an art gallery specializing in the exhibition and sale of post-war and contemporary art that showcases innovative jewelry designers’ work.

By shopping at Penny Lane Cooperative you’ll keep it truly local. They are dedicated to offering clothing that is comfortable, fashionable, and affordable and are also an artist cooperative. So while you’re there, you can also pick up an Hermes-esque silk scarf for your honey by Jackson’s own Western Range Clothing. Some truly favorite options for trendy clothing in town include Nest for all your up-to-date stylish clothing with a cozy boutique shopping experience, Altitude for some designer shopping with stylists who know it all, and the Bootlegger where everyone goes to pick up their favorite shoe brands, like Sorel!

For more of a western flare visit the boutique Wyoming Outfitters and make it to the back for unique, embroidered cowboy boots. She can’t look less-than on the ski slopes, so check out Stio, who infuses their functional outdoor gear with a classy mountain soul. She may want your bedding to reflect the same class. If so, Scandia Down is the perfect destination for luxurious bedding, including European Down.

If your fashionista happens to be your daughter or niece, checkout Wrap-N-Snaps for their bracelets that can be accessorized in a myriad of ways to make a one-of-a-kind statement.
