Our very own Visitor Services Agent, Diane Mahin has been awarded Employee of the Year by the Wyoming State Chamber of Commerce.

The Wyoming State Chamber except for nominations every year for these awards, and it is a difficult decision and process to select those awarded.

This year, we are proud to congratulate Diane Mahin, Visitor Services Agent at the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce, for receiving the Employee of the Year Award.

The Executive Team from the Jackson Hole Chamber nominated Diane Mahin for Employee of the Year. Rick Howe, Vice Present of the JHCC, wrote: 2020-2021 will go down as one of the most challenging years in history for all communities. When the world began to shut down at the end of April 2020 and things seemed dark, bright spots became evident.

Through the next couple of months and throughout the entire year, visitors and businesses called daily and at times into the night, navigating their next steps with caution and angst. Our visitor services team, which Diane Mahin led in our main office, became the headquarters for every question and resource in the book. When safety and protection became most people's concern, Diane's focus turned to empathy, top-level customer service, and respect for those who she knew may never be able to get back to Wyoming to experience the world we call home.

Diane worked tirelessly, calling, updating, and sharing the things people could experience. Diane answered many phone calls on her line at home into the evening and never once complained about taking care of the visitor, the business, or members. Though the conversations sometimes turned political based upon any day's topic or health directive issued, Diane always raised and turned the conversation positive and focused on taking care of the customer.

During the Fiscal year – 2020-21, the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce received over 72 emails, phone calls, and even videos from people around the country sharing gratitude for Diane's recommendations that fulfilled and exceeded expectations during such an incredibly challenging time.

We wish we could clone Diane throughout the state but are so lucky to have her in our organization. See the information captured below, which represents the people Diane and our team positively impacted over the past year; we wish to nominate Dianne Mahin for Chamber Employee of the Year.
