Grand Re-Opening of Togwotee Lodge

Read about the wonderful experience Director of Destination Global Sales, Kent Elliot, had while dining and staying at the revamped Togwotee Lodge.

A couple of weeks ago, I was invited to the Grand Re-opening of Togwotee Lodge.  It has been a while since I have been in the Lodge, so I was curious what has transformed.  Walking into the Lodge, you will immediately see and feel the transformation.  Everything looks new, in place, fresh and inviting.  From the Lobby to the Red Fox Saloon, especially the Grizzly Grill Dining Room, the cast at Togwotee is working on a new stage!

With a team from the Corporate Offices of Aramark on hand, I got the feeling that they too were proud of what was accomplished with the Lodge.  With guests on hand, we were treated to a private dinner in the Grizzly Grill to celebrate the moment.  With the sweet and harmonizing music provided by Jessica (Garnick) O’Neal & Savanna Garnick along with Norman on bass, the evening was set.  Guests were treated with wonderful appetizers as we chatted and got to know one another.  We moved in for a sit down dinner with a Tower of Crab for an appetizer topped with slices of avocado.  From there, we were treated to Cornish Game Hen, Venison Tenderloin and a wonderful dessert…  all paired with Beer from Snake River Brewery and cocktails by Jackson Hole Still Works. Congratulations to Chef Joe Elmhorst for a delightful culinary experience.

With lodging provided for me that evening, General Manger Derek Thompson arranged a “Cabin in the Woods” for the evening.  After settling in my Cabin, I got the feeling that this is how a Wyoming Vacation needs to be done… Sitting outside on the porch of the Cabin, I listened to, well nothing… it was quiet, the skies were lit with Stars, only to be interrupted by a pack of howling coyotes not to far in the distance.  They yipped and howled… it was AWESOME.  My cabin hadall the conveniences one would expect, and even more.  My bed was comfortable, and the coffee was welcomed as I entered into the new day…

Take a night and get out of town… give them a call at Togwotee to unwind in the Wyoming Mountains.
