Six Fun Travel Facts in Honor of National Travel and Tourism Week in Wyoming!

Governor Mark Gordon signed a proclamation designating May 5 - May 11, 2019 as National Travel and Tourism Week in Wyoming!

Held Annually during the first week of May, National Travel and Tourism Week was established in 1983 by President Reagan, to showcase the travel industry's contribution to the economy and to communities nationwide.
This year, the theme is "travel matters", highlighting why travel matters to economic growth, personal well-being, and American jobs.

The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce is excited to share their six favorite travel facts about our lovely destination.

Including the Winter 2018/2019 season, Jackson Hole Mountain Resort has had 3 consecutive Winter seasons with over 500 inches of snow!
Domestic and International visitors spent approximately $1.24 Billion when traveling to Jackson
About 8,950 jobs were generated due to the travel industry. This represents 27% of Teton Country's total private industry employment.

Whether it’s that first framed peek of the Tetons from Togwotee Pass driving south to Jackson, or the pink morning glow on Sleeping Indian, or that “wow” view when cresting the hill driving north by the elk refuge, you just cannot match the beauty of the Tetons.
