1. The Palates & Palettes Gallery Walk: Friday, September 8, 2017 from 5:00-8:00pm
More than 30 art galleries open their doors to showcase magnificent art with food, wine and music! The gallery walk is open to the public and is a social celebration of Fall Arts Fest. Other businesses and nonprofits join the fun to highlight creative partnerships and fete the arts community for all it brings to Jackson Hole. Be sure to keep notes! 2. Historic Ranch Tours: Saturday, September 9 from 2:00pm
Get a behind-the-scenes look at the culture and heritage that contributes its Old West spirit to Jackson Hole! Visit two working ranches, enjoy Western entertainment, and savor delicious barbecue. This year’s featured ranches are the Jackson Hole Hereford Ranch and the Snake River Ranch. The Historic Ranch Tours are hosted each year by Mountain Living magazine. 3. Taste of the Tetons: Sunday, September 10 from 11:00am-3:00pm
Gather on Town Square to enjoy the culinary creations of local chefs, restaurants, and caterers. Attendees should stop at one of the ticket booths which are located at each of the four corners of Town Square and at the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce information booth in the center of the Square. Tickets are purchased for $1 each and redeemed for samples at the vendor booths. Samples generally take two to four tickets and range from bison burgers to freshly-baked pizza and from ice cream sandwiches to huckleberry tarts. There’s something for every palate! The event also features the 18th Annual Takin’ It to the Streets art fair hosted by the Art Association of Jackson Hole and Sips on the Square hosted by the Jackson Hole Rotary Supper Club.
4. Poster Signing with the Fall Arts Festival Featured Artist: Wednesday, September 13 from 3:00-5:00pm
The poster signing with Mark Keathley will be hosted by West Lives On Gallery where fans of the artist and of Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival have the opportunity to purchase a print of “Rise Above” and have it personally signed by the festival’s featured artist. Posters are available at the gallery and are also available at the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce Administrative Offices, 260 West Broadway, Suite A. The poster signing and reception will be followed by the special Wednesday ArtWalk hosted by the Jackson Hole Gallery Association.
5. Jackson Hole QuickDraw Art Sale and Auction: Saturday, September 16 from 9:00am
This alfresco arts event takes place under the cottonwood trees and iconic elk antler arches of Town Square. Artists take their places along the boardwalks of George Washington Memorial Park with tools of the trade, including easels, brushes, hair dryers, clay modeling tools, paint of every color, and more! The one-of a-kind artwork is auctioned off following the 90-minute creative process at a vibrant and exciting live auction that feature the sale of “Rise Above,” the impressive original piece by this year’s featured Fall Arts Festival artist Mark Keathley.
Bonus Pick: Art Brunch Gallery Walk: Sunday, September 17
One of the newest additions to the Jackson Hole Fall Arts Festival is an early take on the traditional ArtWalk. Participating galleries open their doors starting at 11:00am and welcome art enthusiasts with brunch and festive beverages. The closing-day celebration is a highlight of the festival.
