Jackson Hole is a wonderful community filled with non-profits and volunteer opportunities. In order to be well integrated into the fabric of our community, we believe it’s important to give back to our local community, whether it be through fundraising efforts to support local causes or volunteering our time. One of the best ways to give back is to volunteer on a local Board of Directors. We strive to provide opportunities for our members to get involved with one of the many local Boards.
+ Fundraise to support small scholarships for professional education
+On Board Initiative: The Get on Board Initiative allows YP members to meet and learn from current board members, and each participating nonprofit offers a seat on its board for which YP members can apply
Networking is essential in career building. We value connecting with our peers as well as seeking out mentors in our community. Through our networking events, meet other Young Professionals in the Jackson Hole region and foster relationships with your peers.
+Make professional connections and foster a young professional community
+Network at YPT specific and regular chamber events
+Workshops on Work-Life Balance: Develop a purpose driven life, aligning your strengths, seek balance between personal and professional life

HISTORY OF YPT
The Young Professionals of the Tetons was formed in 2012 by a group of three young professionals living and working in Jackson with the goal of networking with other young professionals in community. It was kept afloat by William Gale and Courtney Allen for long period of time before the determination was made that this group needed a formal home. The Young Professionals of the Tetons is a new iteration of a group of 21 to 40-year-old, active, civic-minded professionals dedicated to enriching our community by uniting and developing Jackson Hole's emerging professionals and entrepreneurs. The creation of this new committee of the Chamber of Commerce was approved by the Chamber’s board of directors in January of 2018.
