Animal Adoption Center

The Animal Adoption Center is dedicated to saving the lives of homeless animals through rescue, adoption, community outreach and spay/neuter. The Animal Adoption Center is located on 175 N downtown Jackson near the town square. The Center houses 8-12 dogs and 10-14 cats at a time. This small number makes for a less chaotic atmosphere and reduces stress on both the animals and visitors. This, in turn, allows for better interaction between animals and their prospective adoptive parents, as well as an opportunity for staff and volunteers to get to know the animals' individual personalities. In addition to fostering, the community is invited to become involved in a variety of ways. Volunteer programs include dog walking and caretaking Kitty City, as well as promoting adoption through the media and special events. All volunteers play an essential role in helping these abandoned animals, not only by caring for them but also by getting to know each animal's individual temperment and personality. This information is crucial in ensuring a successful and compatible adoption
