In this workshop we will explore both Pranayama and Sound. Pranayama is an ancient yogic practice used to gain control of one’s life force (Prana) by manipulating the breath. We will practice 2-3 Pranayama techniques for the first 10-15 minutes of class as a way to prepare the mind, body and spirit for our Sound Bath experience. Each Pranayama technique will be chosen based on the season and will be taught in a simple and guided manner which will allow each participant to take the practices with them for use in daily life. Following the Pranayama practice, each participant will find a comfortable and supported position to be bathed in the sound waves and vibrations of beautiful frosted crystal singing bowls. Other instruments, such as chimes, may be used as a way to enhance the session. Each participant experiences a Sound Bath differently, however, it is common to experience feelings of increased relaxation and positivity, a deeply calm state of being, balancing of the body’s energy centers (Chakras), gentle emotional release, lowered heart rate, stress reduction, improved sleep and many more benefits. We hope you’ll join us for this instructional and relaxing time together as a community. Per-registration is required. Sign up to reserve your space! Investment: $25 *There is a 3 person minimum for all workshops. If there are no sign-ups 3 hours before the event, it will be cancelled.*Visit our website
