Bring your appetite to enjoy Wilson’s “Secret Recipe” Fried Chicken and our world famous Dutch-Oven Potatoes cooked over an open fire. If there is room on your plate, add a fresh iceberg salad with all the fixings. Ice-cold Beer and Soda will also be available and do not forget to check out the dessert table and the ever-popular slices of pie. We will have live music, fun in the sun, and the opportunity to visit with your neighbors and friends at the most important event of the year, making the Chicken Fry a “must-do” for all Jackson Hole residents and visitors. Although we put on the biggest and best family picnic event of the year, that is not all we do. We are The Wilson Volunteer Fire Department and members of Jackson Hole Fire EMS. We are your neighbors and friends, your co-workers, contractors, mechanics, teachers and more. We are also structural firefighters, rescuers who perform accident extraction and swift-water rescue, medics, EMT’s, wildland firefighters, HAZMAT personnel, ambulance transport, and the list goes on. We respond at all hours of the day and night, when you are most in need, to your vehicle accidents, your medical emergencies, and/or your fires. We will turn off your smoke alarm, douse a burning turkey and even rescue a kitten (special request only). We are your local VOLUNTEERS and we are the ones you can count on in your time of need. We log countless hours volunteering for our community as the Fire Department and EMS, maintaining our equipment, attending training sessions, responding to all emergencies and occasionally even responding to a fire.Visit our website
