Businesses Seeking Interns

What areas do you want them to focus on? What areas could you use a fresh perspective on?

We believe an internship should be inspiring, eye-opening, and mutually beneficial.

Can you supply housing for your intern? While some interns have connections to Jackson Hole, some do not. Housing, or lack thereof, can be a deciding factor for potential interns. If you are unable to supply housing below are some resources that you can share with your potential intern. Utilize your connections and show your potential intern you care.

Does your intern need a car or means of transportation? Do you have an extra bike lying around? Consider paying for their START bus or START bike pass for the summer.

Remember, your intern likely is choosing to come to Jackson Hole because of all it has to offer. Work with your intern to curate a schedule that allows them to both work for you and better your business and explore all that Jackson Hole has to offer. Not every internship needs to be 9-5, Monday through Friday. Find out what your interns’ requirements are for school if any, and build out a schedule that works well for both of you.

Can you pay your intern? If not, what other ways can you help with their experience here in Jackson? Could you supply a stipend to help with rent?

“The Jackson Hole Jewelry Co. intern that the JHCOC sourced and vetted for us was a fantastic foray into a small business internship. She was competent, and hardworking, and has left us excited about the offerings that next year's program will offer us. The chamber program took so much of the guesswork and filtering out of the process. We couldn’t have been more pleased.”
