Expect Intermittent Closures of Moose-Wilson Road During October 2011: A temporary closure of the Moose-Wilson Road will continue indefinitely due to the repeated presence of several grizzly bears, including a sow with cubs, which are currently foraging on chokecherry and hawthorn bushes that line this narrow road. Take I-25 North to Cheyenne, I-80 West through Laramie to Rock Springs, and then to Jackson via US-191N
This route takes visitors through the high plains with views of Wyoming's world-famous Wind River Mountain Range, home to Gannet Peak and Fremont Peak. Take 1-25 North to Casper and then to Jackson via W/US-26
This route takes you off the interstate and onto the scenic byway over the historic Togwotee Pass. Visit communities such as Crowheart and Dubois along the way. From the top of Togwotee Pass, views of the Teton Mountain Range strike the western horizon. The drive into Jackson Hole skirts through Grand Teton National Park.
