Is the event weather dependent?
No. The High Noon Chili Cook-Off is a rain-or-shine event.
While sunny days are always welcome, many locals will tell you chili tastes even better in cool, cloudy, or rainy weather. In fact, some of the biggest turnouts have happened on less-than-perfect weather days.
Plan ahead with layers or rain gear if needed. Jackson Hole locals know, there is no such thing as bad weather, only poor clothing choices.
Why is the High Noon Chili Cook-Off so popular?
Because chili is the taste of the West.
There’s no better way to celebrate Jackson Hole’s Western heritage than with a chili cook-off—and this is the premier chili event of the year. Held the day after ElkFest, it caps off one of the most vibrant weekends for local culture, community, and tradition in Jackson Hole.
Is there free parking nearby?
Yes. Free parking is available at the Home Ranch Parking Garage and the Deloney Street parking lots, both located about one block from Town Square. Street parking is also available throughout downtown Jackson, though it can fill up quickly during Old West Days—plan to arrive early.
