Family Vacation Planner

Our Western Hospitality is truly legendary.

We have a few family-must-do’s if you make it to town!

Book you and yours a spot on the Chuckwagon Dinner: Listen to cowboy tales about survival and adventure. Singing and fiddling cowboys accompany the western cuisine. Click here for more information on Chuckwagon Dinners.

Experience the river that early trappers dubbed Mad River after their small wooden crafts were smashed to pieces with a float down the Snake River! With modern rafts and experienced guides to handle the river with ease, the entire family will be able to enjoy either a leisurely scenic trip looking for bald eagles or find the thrill at Lunch Counter rapids. Click here for information on rafting and river trips.

Take the little buckaroos on a ride in a real stagecoach. Tour the leafy streets of Jackson Hole with a real cowboy at the helm of our famous red stagecoach departing daily from the Town Square.

Jackson Hole Shootout is the longest-running gun fight in the country! The Shootout is fun for all ages, reliving the myths of cowboys on the corner of Broadway and Cache with the famous elk antler arches for a backdrop. With real guns (and fake bullets), this downtown stage brings the stories of the Shootout Gang to life. Click here for information on performances.

Fine stock and brave cowboys thrill the crowds every Wednesday and Saturday nights at The Jackson Hole Rodeo. A favorite for both locals and visitors throughout the summer. To find out about the weekly line ups and competitions, please click here.

With all family trips, there are a lot of moving parts. Please feel free to call and speak with one of our knowledgeable Visitor Services agents, (307) 733-3316 if you want to know more and have a question not answered on our site.

Western hospitality starts with being able to help a partner out!
