Snowmobiling

Western Wyoming is a world-class snowmobiling destination. The public lands around Jackson provide technical terrain as well as touring opportunities. Hiring a touring outfit is an ideal way to ensure safe backcountry practices, even if it’s just a cruise out to Granite Canyon to the hot springs.

Guided snowmobiling destinations include Brooks Lake Lodge, Togwotee Pass, the Grey's River, Granite Hot Springs, wildlife tours in the Gros Ventre, and in the parks.

The culture of snowmobiling is so embedded in the area that the end of the ski season is one of the biggest events–not for skiing–but for after Snow King closes to host the Annual World Championship Snowmobile Hill Climb and crowds from around the west gather to watch snowmobiles climb a course of 1500 vertical feet.
