Sustainability is gaining momentum in Jackson Hole, and forward-thinking businesses are proudly taking the lead. From small shops to major employers, local companies are proving that clean energy is not only possible, but also a smart, strategic choice.

More than 125 businesses across the valley are now enrolled in the Green Power Program, a simple, cost-effective solution from Energy Conservation Works (ECW) and Lower Valley Energy that allows any business to run on 100% renewable electricity, with no installations, no interruptions, and no long-term contracts.
What Is the Green Power Program?
Offered through a partnership between Lower Valley Energy (LVE) and Energy Conservation Works, this voluntary program allows businesses to match 100% of their electricity use with clean, renewable energy, including certified wind and hydro.

For just 1¢ more per kilowatt-hour, you can reduce your business’s carbon footprint while demonstrating a visible, values-driven commitment to a cleaner, more resilient energy future.
Even with this small premium, LVE’s rates remain some of the most affordable in the country, less than half the national commercial average.
Why It Matters to Your Business
-
Earn trust and loyalty from your customers: Today’s consumers seek out businesses that reflect their values. Publicly committing to 100% renewable energy helps you stand out in a crowded marketplace.
-
Strengthen brand and reputation: Sustainability is a powerful differentiator—and customers are more likely to return to businesses they believe are doing the right thing.
-
Be part of something bigger: You're not alone. Businesses across hospitality, retail, healthcare, and services are already setting the bar high for Jackson’s sustainable future. Joining the Green Power Program positions your business as a leader - not just in your industry, but in your community.
The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce is a proud participant in the Green Power Program as part of its commitment to sustainability and support for a cleaner energy future for our community.

As one local business put it:
"We at Inn on the Creek are proud to do our part to support sustainable energy. It’s an easy and meaningful step toward protecting the beautiful place we call home."
