Don't overlook Yellowstone National Park and Grand Teton National Park. Though harder to access it makes them all the more magical. Visiting with family? Interested in itineraries? Enjoy "Six Ways to Spend Your Weekends Outside this Winter" by Happyly.
Jackson Hole boasts an abundance of activities and tours that are fun for the whole family. Dog sledding and sleigh ride tours are unique and exciting ways to experience the land surrounding Jackson. Dog sledding tours have half or full day options through the Grand Teton and Shoshoni Nation Parks. Sleigh ride tours take place on the National Elk Refuge and allow for unobscurred views of the Tetons. Cross country ski or snowmobile into Granite National Hot Springs for a fun ride with a relaxing reward.
Not a skiier or snowboarder and looking for some TLC? Duck into one of Jackson's many spa and wellness centers for a mindful escape on those below freezing days. You can also take a dip into naturally hot water at Granite Hot Springs. It's quite an adventure though because in the winter it's 10 miles from a plowed road, so you can only get there by snowmobile, dog-sled, cross-country ski, fat-bike, or snowshoe!
