The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce joined Cotopaxi and community leaders on Thursday, March 5, 2026, to celebrate the official ribbon cutting of Cotopaxi’s newest retail location on Jackson’s historic Town Square.

Founded in Salt Lake City, Utah, the company creates outdoor gear and apparel designed to inspire adventure while supporting communities around the world. The new Jackson Hole location brings Cotopaxi’s “Gear for Good®” ethos directly to the local community and visitors alike.

The Jackson store represents Cotopaxi’s first full brick-and-mortar location in Jackson and reflects the brand’s focus on connecting with communities that share its love for travel, the outdoors, and doing good. Located in the heart of Jackson’s Town Square, near the landmark elk-antler arches, the store sits among galleries, local shops, and restaurants, making it a natural fit for a community known for outdoor adventure and stewardship of the natural environment.

Community members, business leaders, and local officials gathered to mark the opening of the new storefront. Teton County Commissioners Luther Propst, Len Carlman, Mark Newcomb, and Natalia D. Macker attended the ceremony, along with Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce President Rick Howe, Vice President John Morgan, and Chair of the Board Alex Lemieux, members of the Chamber’s Board of Directors, and David Lindell, Vice President of Retail for Cotopaxi, and Store Manager Austin Dennis, who joined Chamber representatives for the official ribbon cutting.

“As a globally recognized outdoor destination, Jackson Hole is the perfect place for a mission-driven brand like Cotopaxi,” said Rick Howe, President of the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce. “We are excited to welcome Cotopaxi to Town Square and look forward to the energy, innovation, and community engagement they will bring to our local business community.”

The store officially opened with a 10:00 a.m. ribbon cutting ceremony with local leaders and the Chamber. Later that afternoon, a 4:00 p.m. happy hour featuring Wyoming Whiskey and live music from local artist Cooking With Music welcomed residents and visitors to celebrate the opening. Festivities continued throughout the weekend as the community explored the new space and connected with the Cotopaxi team.

Cotopaxi also partnered with One22 Resource Center, a local nonprofit dedicated to helping Teton County residents build stability and thrive through food assistance, emergency financial aid, mental health services, and workforce programs. Through its Community Grants program, Cotopaxi supported One22 and hosted the organization in-store during opening weekend activities as part of the Jackson Hole store opening celebration.
