Old West Days Mountain Man Rendezvous

Nestled in the heart of Old West Days, this beloved tradition invites you to step into the rugged 1800s, where the air hums with the clang of blacksmiths’ hammers, the scent of campfire-cooked meals wafts through the air, and mountain men in buckskins swap stories and goods like it’s still the fur trade era.

Trader’s Row Marketplace: The Soul of the Rendezvous

Every day from 8 AM to 5 PM, stroll through Trader’s Row, a bustling open-air marketplace lined with canvas tents and teepees. Here, artisans and traders offer everything from handcrafted leather goods and woven blankets to traditional axes and beaded treasures. It’s a living history museum where the exhibits talk back—and maybe even barter.

Whether you’re browsing or buying, you’ll feel like you’ve walked into an 1840s trading post, where every item has a story and every trader a tall tale.

Axe-Throwing, Archery, and Family Fun

This event isn’t just for history buffs—it’s a frontier adventure for the whole family. Kids (and kids at heart) can test their aim with axe-throwing and archery, while the Saturday Scavenger Hunts (May 18 and 25 at Noon) offer a spirited challenge perfect for young explorers. Think of it as a treasure hunt through time, packed with fun facts and frontier flair.

Living Skills and Storytelling

Throughout the Rendezvous, families can experience interactive storytelling and survival skill demos that bring frontier life to vivid reality. Watch a fire-starting demo, learn the art of bartering, or hear firsthand how fur trappers navigated the wild. The Rendezvous isn’t just entertainment—it’s education with a healthy dose of adventure.
