39th Annual Old West Days - May 16-25,2020

A 10-day festival celebrating Jackson's Old West culture! Below is your inclusive guide to all the live country music, brewfests and wine gardens, heritage celebrations, and family activities.

 

SATURDAY, MAY 16TH

ElkFest Antler Sale & Auction
7 AM - 1 PM, Jackson's Town Square

Witness a world-famous event featuring one of Jackson's more iconic artifacts: antlers. Jackson's Town Square, already framed in the renowned antler arches, will be lined with hundreds more antlers and thousands of artifacts. Purchase prized deer, elk, and moose antlers, a statement bison skull, or an array of animal artifacts for unqiue crafts or one-of-a-kind decor. 
10-1: The Jackson Boy Scouts Elk Antler Auction begins. Unlike anything you've ever witnessed...hundreds of buyers try to get their hands prized antler pairs in a live auction right on Jackson's downtown streets.

Mountain Man Rendezvous
9 AM - 5 PM, Teton County Fair Grounds

Take a fascinating and educational step back into Jackson's history. Traders sell and exhange beautiful furs, unique artifacts, and hand-made masterpieces from their tents on Traders Row while mountain particpate in interactive bow & arrow and hawk & knife competitions. SUNDAY, MAY 17TH

High Noon Chili Cook-Off
12 - 3 PM, Jackson's Town Square

$5 for all you can taste! The meaty, the beany, the veggie... the mild, the spicy, the more-than-you-can-handle... we've got it all. Come to town square where all the chili-makers of Jackson, the amateur and the not-so-amateur, compete for serious bragging rights. This title is listed on menus and adorns offices around Jackson! Beer also available to cool down your palatte and prepare you for next weekend's Brewfest (see below).

39th Annual Old West Days Parade
10:30 AM, Jackson's Town Square
One of the last Old-West-style parades in the nation! Mountain Men, vintage vehicles, covered wagons, and the legendary gathering of gunslingers of the West!

Old Town Entertainment / Family Fun!
11 AM - 3 PM, Jackson's Town Square
Ever ridden a mechanical buffalo in front of a living Western street front? Now's your chance! Plus, Country Western music, kids crafts & activities, face paitning, line dancers, and more. It's an entire afternoon of western activities for the whole family.

Old West Brewfest 
11 AM - 4 PM, Jackson's Town Square
Sample brews from over 25 local and regional breweries! Purchase a glass, then start tasting. The tent on Deloney will be filled with blondes and ales, IPAs and malts, and at your fingertips with one entry fee.

Jackson Hole Rodeo
8 PM, Teton County Fairgrounds
The original sport of authentic ranch skills is still alive and well in Jackson. Athletes from surrounding areas and across the nation come to compete in bull riding, barrel racing, and cattle roping. You can't come to the West and not catch a rodeo, and you certianly can't come to Old West Days without being a part of Jackson's rodeo.

Join us for a good old fashion, non-denominational service with long-time local Phillip Wilson under the tent on Deloney.
 

Sunday Sip & See
1:30- 3:30 PM, Town Square
Spend your afternoon on Deloney Street watching some of Jackson's most talented artists create live art! Sip beer and wine, available at the event, while you watch.
