ElkFest Weekend is a beloved Jackson Hole tradition that brings the community together in the heart of Town Square each May. Featuring the world-famous antler auction, the Scouting America Expo, local vendors, and the spirited High Noon Chili Cook-Off, this lively weekend celebrates wildlife, Western heritage, and community pride.

Jackson Hole Restaurant Week, held during Old West Days, is your chance to sample the best of the local dining scene. For one delicious week, 30 restaurants across Jackson and Teton Village offer special prix fixe menus at great prices, featuring their signature dishes and seasonal favorites. It’s the perfect opportunity to explore new restaurants, revisit your favorites, and savor the flavors of Jackson Hole.

Elk Antler Auction
8 AM - 12 PM // Town Square
The Elk Antler Auction is a one-of-a-kind Jackson Hole tradition, featuring thousands of naturally shed elk antlers collected from the nearby National Elk Refuge. Held each May in Town Square, this iconic event draws locals and visitors alike to experience a uniquely Western spectacle. Proceeds from the auction support Scouting America, while the lively atmosphere, community spirit, and connection to the region’s wildlife make it a truly memorable Jackson Hole experience.
Scouting America Expo
8 AM - 12 PM // Town Square
Held in conjunction with the Elk Antler Auction, the Scouting America Expo adds an interactive and educational element to ElkFest Weekend. Featuring hands-on activities, informative exhibits, and engaging demonstrations, the expo offers fun for all ages while showcasing the values, skills, and experiences of Scouting America. It’s a great opportunity for families and visitors to learn, explore, and connect in a dynamic and welcoming environment.
Private Vendor Sales
8 AM - 12 PM // Town Square
Held in conjunction with the Elk Antler Auction, the vendor marketplace features a diverse selection of regional and national vendors offering antlers, bison skulls, and other unique antler sheds. Visitors can browse a wide range of natural and Western-inspired items, making it a must-see part of ElkFest Weekend.
Old West Hoedown
7 PM - 10:30 PM // The Virginian Saloon
Celebrate 45 years of Old West Days with a lively hoedown at the Virginian Lodge Courtyard, featuring line dancing lessons from 307 Dance Hall and live music from local band Possum Queen under the open sky. This free, all-ages event offers a fun evening of dancing, food and drinks from Billy’s Burgers, and classic Jackson Hole charm (Virginian Saloon is 21+).

High Noon Chili Cook
The High Noon Chili Cook-Off brings bold flavors and friendly competition to ElkFest Weekend. Local participants serve up their best chili recipes as visitors sample, vote, and enjoy the lively atmosphere in Town Square. It’s a fun and flavorful way to experience the community spirit of Jackson Hole.
