Destination Global Sales is committed to providing a memorable and enriching experience for every visitor while preserving the integrity and charm of our community. To achieve this, our sales strategy emphasizes educating visitors on best practices, such as respecting local customs, minimizing environmental impact, and protecting wildlife. We work closely with tour operators and travel organizations to ensure they understand and communicate our community’s values, sustainable tourism practices, and the best times to visit. By implementing visitor management systems, promoting only off-peak travel, involving the community in planning, collaborating with comparable markets, and continuously monitoring tourism impacts, we strive to maintain sustainable visitation levels, creating a positive experience for both visitors and locals.

This Fiscal year July 2024 – June 2025 the Destination Sales Committee and our Director of Destination Global Sales have lined up 13 national & international trade shows along with multiple Media and Travel Professionals familiarization trips (FAMs).  Scheduled events have the following breakdown: 46% International Leisure, 30% Group Focus, and 24% US based Leisure Travel.   Our exposure to seasons away from summer offers tremendous opportunity for your business to gain valuable exposure and cultivate important relationships with travel organizations and return clients from across the globe. 


 

PARTNERSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

As requested by the Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce (JHCC), the Jackson Hole Travel and Tourism Joint Powers Board has allocated funds to secure booth space at several prominent Destination Tradeshows and to support Sales Missions to International Markets. The JHCC will participate in each event to represent our destination comprehensively and is currently seeking applications from businesses to join in-person as Destination Partners. As in previous years, the costs to attend these events are minimal, with the goal of maintaining an affordable rate compared to independent attendance or the standard practices of other Destination Marketing Organizations (DMOs).

FEATURED REPRESENTATION

The Jackson Hole Chamber of Commerce has received support from the Jackson Hole Travel & Tourism Board to attend Travel Trade Shows focused on driving tourism to our community in the fall, winter, and Spring Months.   The shows selected have been vetted by a cross-section of local Sales & Marketing professionals in the Tourism Industry.  Representation at the Trade Shows will benefit the entire community as we focus on tourism outside of the summer months. 

Although Chamber Members and the community will be generally represented, you have the opportunity for your business to have FEATURED REPRESENTATION, highlighting your business specifically to meeting planners, tour operators, and consumers planning to come to our community at the various trade shows we travel to.
